Meet Our Staff

Mr. Spencer serves as the Director of Bands at Washington Township High School.  He is currently in his 18th year of teaching. Prior to joining the Washington Township School District , Mr. Spencer was the Director of Bands at Deptford Middle School.  Mr. Spencer was also a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and was a featured soloist with “The Commandant’s Own”, the United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps. Mr. Spencer also attended the University of Akron where he was the Drum Major of "Ohio's Pride". Mr. Spencer has worked with several High School Band and Drum Corps. Mr. Spencer hold a Master's degree in Teacher Leadership from Walden University and earned his Bachelor's degree from Rowan University in Music Education.

Niki Williams-Spencer is excited to return as the WTHS Marching Band Assistant Marching Band Director. Miss Niki is also the Indoor Color Guard Director at WTHS.  She was a member of the color guard program at Deptford High School (1998-2001) and marched in the Jersey Surf Drum & Bugle Corps (2001). Ms. Niki has worked with several area high school marching bands, indoor color guard programs as well as AMP Winter Guard from Camden , NJ and Delazure at the University of Delaware. Niki holds a Bachelor's degree from Rowan University in Art Education. Niki Williams is excited to return for her third marching band season with the WTHS Marching Band as the Assistant Marching Band Director.  Miss Niki is also the Indoor Color Guard Director here at WTHS.  She was a member of the color guard program at Deptford High School (1998-2001) and marched in the Jersey Surf Drum & Bugle Corps (2001).  

Miss Niki has worked with several area high school marching bands, indoor color guard programs and Delazure at the University of Delaware.  She is currently the Director for the Independent A Class AMP Winterguard from Camden, NJ.  

 Samantha is excited to be serving as the WTHS Marching Band Color Guard Caption Head! Samantha began her marching career with four years in the Washington Township High School marching band and indoor color guard. She found her love for teaching color guard at Washington Township HS in 2012 and has been teaching with the WTHS marching band and winter guard ever since. Sam has been with the Bushwackers Drum & Bugle Corps since 2016, where she currently serves as the Color Guard Caption Head. She joined the AMP Winterguard staff for three seasons (2019-2021), working with their Independent A class group and most recently, she has ventured into the percussion world, working with Kingsway Indoor Percussion as part of their design team for the second year!

Samantha holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University- Camden. 

 Kristy Snyder is a returning instructor to the Washington Township Marching Band and Color Guard staff for the 2024-2025 season.  Kristy previously marched with Jersey Surf Drum and Bugle Corps (4 years) and  The Cadets drum and Bugle Corps (2 years) as a member of the colorguard. Her indoor color guard experience includes 8 years  as a marching member of Black Watch Indoor Color Guard and held position of captain for 2 years. This will be Kristy’s 12th  year of teaching color guard at WTHS.  Kristy holds a degree in occupational Therapy from Stockton University and currently works with older adults in a skilled nursing facility.  

Allison McMunn is a returning instructor to the Washington Township Marching Band and Color Guard staff. Previously, Allison marched 4 years in the Deptford High School Marching Band (2012-2016) and 3 years in the Deptford High School Indoor Color Guard.  She then went on to spend 3 seasons as a member of the Hawthorne Caballeros color guard (2017-2019). Her indoor experience includes four years with AMP Winterguard in the A (2019), Open (2020-2021), and World class (2022) groups. This will be Allison’s fifth year teaching Visual with Washington Township. She is also a member of the WTHS indoor color guard staff. 

Allison holds a B.A in Psychology from Rowan University. In her spare time, she loves to exercise, watch color guard, and spoil her five ferrets. 

Christina Mazur (Ms. M) is a colorguard instructor for the Washington Township Marching Band and Indoor Colorguard. Ms. M has experience teaching with the Radnor Middle School Colorguard as well as volunteer tech with the Radnor High School Colorguard from 2019-2020. Her experience with colorguard started with the South Brunswick High School Marching Band and Colorguard from 2007-2010; a group receiving top placements and awards in Bands of America (BOA) and Winterguard International (WGI) competition circuits. With this experience, Ms. M joined the TWP Marching Staff in 2023 to continue to educate and build the program alongside reputable staff members.
